Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Bean's were a invention of Bertie Bott's himself and also are jelly beans to muggles. One day he was trying to make a sweet candy that the whole wizarding community can enjoy, but came up with a bean that tasted of socks.
History EditAlbus Dumbledore - During Harry Potters first year at hogwarts the current headmaster Dumbledore tried a Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Bean and ot earwax. He also said that he was unfortunate to come across many yucky flavours and never tried any sine then.

I was unfortunate enough in my youth to come across a vomit flavored one, and since then I’m afraid I’ve rather lost my liking for them — but I think I’ll be safe with a nice toffee, don’t you?
